Aging Services Day is a collaborative event put together by Kansas Health Care Association/Kansas Center for Assisted Living, LeadingAge Kansas and Kansas Adult Care Executives where Long Term Care Providers gather at the state capitol to champion the needs of our elderly in Kansas.  We will meet in the morning at The Beacon for education then go to the Capitol for a full afternoon of legislative advocacy on issues that are crucial to the LTC Profession with our Kansas Legislators.  It’s a powerful opportunity to allow your voice to be heard and influence positive change for LTC providers and the population we care for.  Be part of the movement for better aging services. Mark your calendar for Aging Services day, February 18, 2025.

Registration Fee for all providers:  $75.00
Includes at least 3.5 CE and lunch with Legislators and their staff

8:30-9:00 am | Beacon | Registration, Light Breakfast & Networking

9:00-10:30 am | Debrief and review of Legislative Priorities for LTC

10:30- 11:00 am | Head over to the State Capitol Building.

11:00 – 11:30 am | Capitol Orientation and Appointments

11:30 am —1:00 pm | Kansas State Capitol Rotunda | Lunch with Legislators and Staff

2:00 – 2:30 pm | Capitol Appointments

3:00-4:00 p.m. | Debrief with Association Tables in Rotunda

Nurses:  The Kansas Healthcare Association is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This offering is approved for 3.5 contact hour applicable for RN and LPN relicensure (KSBN LT0030-0338)

Administrators: This course is approved for 3.5 continuing education credit hours for Kansas licensed adult care home administrators by the Kansas Department Aging and Disability Services.  KDADS Health Occupations Credentialing sponsorship number LTS-A0001.

Operators:  This course offering is approved for 3.5 continuing education clock hour for the Kansas registered operators in the core area of Resident Care by the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services. KDADS Health Occupations Credentialing Approved Sponsorship number: LTS-A0001.

Social Workers: This course is approved for 3.5 hour of continuing education hours for Kansas licensed Social Workers by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.  Approval number: 17-006.

Dietitians: This course is approved for up to 3.5 continuing education clock hours for Kansas Licensed Dietitians by the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services. KDADs Health Occupations Credentialing Approved Sponsorship Number: LTS-A0002.
