Course Description:

This session explores the significant impact that advance directives, informed consent, and end-of-life can care have on behavioral health and psychosocial well-being. It aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of how these critical aspects of healthcare influence patients' mental and emotional states, as well as their overall quality of life.

Learning Objectives

  1. Explore the role of advance directives in ensuring patient autonomy and aligning medical care with patient preferences.
  2. Examine how advance directives can reduce anxiety, stress, and depression in patients and their families.
  3. Explore strategies to address the unique psychosocial needs of patients facing end-of-life decisions.
