Bedrails in Assisted Living.  Do you know what’s required?

Bedrails in our Kansas State Licensed Only Communities have become a recent hot topic.  Do you know what’s required of you if you have residents that use these assistive devices?  You may know these assisted devices as a different name.  Possibly side rails, bed side rails, half rails, safety rails, bed handles, assist bars, or grab bars, bed canes, hospital bed rails, and adult portable bed rails.  In this 75-minute live webinar session, Joan Hudson, RN-BC, LNHA will talk about the safety requirements for your residents that may need these devices to ensure their safety and quality of life.

Learning objectives for this webinar are:

  1. Understand the regulations around Bedrails in State Licensed Only communities
  2. Learn to assess your residents for appropriate use of an assistive bed device
  3. Review alternatives to bed assisted device use.
