Course Description:

This session of the Restorative Nursing Series will focus on the introduction of restorative nursing programs (RNP) by reviewing program fundamentals including the types of programs, RAI definitions and regulatory requirements. The importance of restorative nursing related to improving quality measures and attaining and maintaining each resident’s highest practicable function is established.  The role of restorative nursing in meeting the needs of residents with a history of COVID-19 infection with residual deficits will be discussed.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand the purpose and importance of RNP for your resident population.
  2. Explore regulatory requirements and the potential impact to quality measures of restorative nursing programs.
  3. Describe restorative nursing types of programs and RAI definitions.

Nurses:  The Kansas Healthcare Association is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.  This offering is approved for 1.0 contact hour applicable for RN and LPN relicensure (KSBN LT0030-0338)
