Information about the day:
Meet, greet and converse with your Legislators about issues that are important to you and your community.  Visit the House and the Senate and sit in on committee meetings that directly impact long term care providers.  Register early so that KHCA/KCAL staff can provide you with assistance in making appointments with the right people to maximize your time at the Capitol.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more and explore the happenings at the State House during the legislative session.

Learning Objectives for Legislative day are:

1. Understand the value of membership with a trade association.

2. Understand KHCA/KCAL’s political clout.

3. Become familiar with our outside lobby team.

4. Become familiar with the legislative process.

5. Understand KHCA/KCAL 2023 Legislative agenda

Participants attending the first hour of the legislative day can earn 1 hour of continuing education credit.  Please see full brochure for details about CE.

KHCA/KCAL Cancellation Policy for events:
When written noticed is received at least 5 days prior to the course/event a refund will be given minus an administrative fee of 25% unless otherwise noted.  Attendee substitutions are permitted.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the in-person event will NOT receive a refund.  An attendee substitution is recommended.
